Programme structure

How MCP works in practice

Unlike a traditional hire or internship, MCP follows a structured attachment model designed for mid-career exploration.

Attachment period

  • Lasts between 3 to 6 months depending on the scope of the placement
  • The trainee is not a permanent employee — this is a structured attachment
  • Host company provides meaningful mentorship and on-the-job learning
  • Both sides evaluate fit before committing to long-term employment
  • Flexible structure that can be tailored to your company's needs

Monthly allowance structure

  • Allowance of $1,800 to $3,800 per month, set by the host company
  • Designed to cover the trainee's living expenses during the attachment
  • WSG co-funds 70% of the approved allowance — confirmed at eligibility assessment
  • Paid directly by the host company; WSG reimbursement follows later
  • No CPF contributions required during the attachment period
